Mockbox Privacy Policy

Effective August 17, 2026

COLDTER (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Mockbox. Privacy questions can be sent to support@coldter.com.

Privacy summary

  • Mockbox does not require an account and does not include advertising or cross-app tracking.
  • Your photos, videos, local reactions, drafts, watch history, and private-chat activity are not uploaded to COLDTER.
  • A private Stash connection goes directly from your device to the server address you provide.
  • Apple processes purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details.

Device photos and videos

When you choose to import media, Mockbox reads the photos and videos allowed by your iOS Photo Library permission. You may grant limited access and choose specific items. Mockbox creates an on-device index and thumbnails needed to present your library. Your originals remain in the Photo Library and are changed or exported only after an action you choose.

Camera

Camera access is requested only when you open a camera feature or scan a pairing code. Camera content stays on the device unless you deliberately save it to your Photo Library. A pairing code is processed to obtain a private server address and optional access credential.

Optional private Stash connection

If you connect your own Stash server, Mockbox stores its address and optional API key in the iOS secure storage available to the app. The app connects directly to that server to request metadata, thumbnails, and playable media. A local cache and media index are stored in the app sandbox. COLDTER does not proxy or receive that library traffic.

Local app activity

Likes, saved items, follows, drafts, comments, watch history, and private-chat activity created inside Mockbox are stored locally for the selected experience. They are not published to a social network and are not written to Stash ratings unless a rating control clearly says it will do so.

Purchases

Annual subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple using StoreKit. Mockbox receives product, transaction, entitlement, and storefront information required to offer, verify, restore, and manage access. Apple controls payment and refund information under Apple’s privacy terms.

App updates and technical diagnostics

Mockbox uses Expo Updates to check for and download app updates. Limited technical information needed for update delivery may be transmitted, including platform, app and runtime versions, update identifiers, and update-launch or crash diagnostics. This information is used for app functionality and reliability, not advertising or tracking.

Support requests

If you contact support, we receive the email address, purchase reference, message, and technical details you choose to provide. We use them only to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain an appropriate support record. Do not include private media or a Stash API key.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the app and support channel, such as Apple for purchases, Expo for update delivery, and Cloudflare for hosting and protecting these web pages and the support form, or when required by law.

Controls and deletion

You can change Photo Library and Camera access in iOS Settings. Mockbox Settings lets you disconnect Stash and clear its cached index. Each experience provides a control to clear its local app data. Deleting Mockbox removes the remaining data in its app sandbox. Because Mockbox has no COLDTER account, there is no server account to delete. For a support-record request, email support@coldter.com.

Children’s privacy

Mockbox is a general-audience personal media viewer. It does not create child accounts or knowingly collect children’s personal information through an account. Parents and guardians can control access to device media through iOS Photo Library permissions.

Changes

We may update this policy when Mockbox or its disclosures change. We will revise the effective date and publish the current version at this URL.
